Jodie & Chad - Married in Paradise

Forever
Ben Harper

I don't even know where to start writing about my week in Bali with Jodie & Chad. I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph a wedding overseas, but even more so that I got to share in some beautiful moments with these two and the incredible people that they surround them selves with.  So much fun was had together in the days after their wedding that I can now easily call Jodie & Chad my friends, not just my clients. And that, is an amazing part of doing what I do. Blessed.

SO, that as the amazing wedding. The timing couldn't have been better for me because two days after the wedding, it was my birthday!! Jodie, Chad & their friends did well to keep me occupied for a day with a few too many espresso martinis in the pool and a random dance party at a quiet local restaurant until my friends flew over to meet me the next day on my birthday afternoon. Apparently hangovers are not an acceptable excuse to have a quiet night on your birthday when your friends have flown over to meet you especially.. So, not so forcibly, more cocktails and chats were had with my best friends by the pool until 4 in the morning. Happy birthday to me.

The 30's have been pretty good to me so far.

Sarah & Brendan in love.

It had been a long time coming, and just a couple of days before their wedding but we finally managed to all get together and take some engagement photos! I'm so glad that I mostly insist on shooting a Beloved session before the wedding day. It makes people just that little bit more comfortable about having their photo taken on their special day, takes that little niggling thought out of the equation that it's going to be awkward or uncomfortable! I can then convince them of how amazing they look and heaps more fun is had on the wedding day. Thanks for making the effort to drive to Dunsborough from York for this shoot you two!! I love these pix! xxx Rae
